Brooksi Morph Tutorial ...

OZZ1978 Apr 18, 2008 09:53 AM

Can anyone point me in the right direction. Ild like to do some reading on brooksi genetics but all I seem to be able to find is vague descriptions. Looking for a guide or any information on what morphs are co-dom (if any) what are recessive.

Also an outright question for the forum ... its white-side recessive or co-dom??

Axanthic is recessive though right??

Thanks for any help provided.

Im assuming that using an Axanthic to work twords snow, or ghost projects would produce better looking animals then using an Anery??

Any opinions on this would be appreciated. I think I might be working a deal over 2 Axanthic females and 1 whitesided axanthic male and just looking for which direction I want to go with them.

I can't answer all your questions - but my understanding is that in floridana, there is probably only one anery/axanthic gene. Axanthic is typically used to describe the floridana of brooksi origin and anery is typically used to describe the floridana of non brooksi origin.

So yes - using a gorgeous axanthic of a genuine brooksi line origin would probably be better.
