Noticed the screen lids......have you had any problems with shedding?

None at all actually. Other than a spot on the head or an eye cap every once in a while. The lamps you see are not heat lamps. I didnt want to dry out the tank. they just house a compact florescent blacklight that gives off zero heat. And it looks cool as hell at night. I use UTH's. Humidity stays between 70-80% depending at what the ambient is. Since I live in Alabama, it's always freakin humid.
