From what I know, carnivorous animals don't have all the necessary digestive enzymes to convert most plant matter into usable nutrients. It would be like us trying to eat a piece of bark. They need insects to convert the plant matter first. Meat Babyfood is OK if they are sick (but mashed up bugs is even better if sick)

Baby food is only good to feed them if they are sick. Feeding them baby food all of the time will not give thier stomachs a good workout. Leopard geckos are carnivores so they only eat meat. They can eat any other insect that they can fit into their mouths. I would only feed them insects from the store. Wild caught insects might carry deadly diseases that will kill the leopard gecko. Leos will also eat pinkey mice when they are adults. They are good to give them when they need to fatten up.
