I'll be purchasing a baby Ball tomorrow. Hopefully i'll find something interesting. If not, i'm sure to walk out with a normal male or female, more than likely a male.

Patrick... that is good news. I recommend getting a female. If you are like the rest of us it won't be long before you start dreaming of breeding and expanding your collection. When that happens you'll be happy that you purchased the female first since they take longer to get to breeding size and females (even normal females) tend to increase in value/price as they get older.

You won't want to spend $200-$300 on a wild type female in 3 years when you could get one today for under $100. The males will tend to drop in price faster than the females and since they can breed at a younger age and size you'll save money by waiting to pick a male up (even if it turns out that you decide to get a morph or a het.).

you can hardly give away girls now so males will be less givable in the future......

....big breeder females have dropped to nothing this year.....can't wait till this coming summer.......$.50

....the big males that I used to have were actually given away at shows to good families with kids.....5 plus foot males too....

...oh....and males will stop eating twice as much as stuborn females will.......

Wow, thanks for all of your advice guys. My first thought was to get a female but I happen to know that the place I go to has a large supply of males. Hopefully I can find a little girl!
