5 Chicken eggs and 5 slugs

exposito Apr 19, 2008 08:16 AM

It was all or nothing with this girl. The good eggs were very good and the bad eggs were very bad, but we will take them. The male is just as dark as she is. We hope to see some blacked out Anerys and some very yellow Snows about July 1st.

Congrats Joe! That's great. Was this her first clutch? Any thoughts on the high percentage of slugs?

Hi Dave,

It was his first clutch and we were not convinced that he had done anything, but we will take 5 good looking eggs over 0 any day. This girl was finishing up today. She produces some very nice Tangerine and Tricolor Albinos.

Thanks Joe. Looking forward to seeing what those hatchlings look like. I agree, 5 is better than 0 any day! Congrats on yet another clutch! You've got a bunch of eggs cooking already.

I got some slugs last year that I attributed to too warm temps during brumation so I was curious if you had any thoughts on the issue.
