AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION 11 April 08 More support for toad eradication day
Another north Queensland Nationals' MP has thrown his support behind plans for a 'toad day out' next year.
The Member for Charters Towers, Shane Knuth, is proposing to hold the day dedicated to ridding the north of cane toads.
The Member for Hinchinbrook, Andrew Cripps, has joined the push and says it reflects the frustration felt by many locals.
"It's a recognition and expression of how the community has waited too long for a solution to be found," he said.
"I think that we need to do some more investment in research to try and find a solution whether they be biological or other solutions."
