My Very First Clutch Of Ball Eggs!!!

latin1956 Apr 19, 2008 10:05 PM

I was gone out of the state for a week and a half. My Female was due to drop eggs any day.. I left her a nice size nesting box. This female was sold to me as a Het Albino. I breed her to my Male Albino. Well I got home this morning and she was perfectly wrapped around her eggs. She laid 9 good eggs, I candled them and all of them have lots of veins.

I think that for this being her first time that this is a nice size clutch of eggs. She ate a rat pup tonight.

Now I hope she proves out to be Het Albino. If not I at least have 100% hets . I am excited as this is my first time dealing with Ball Pythons. Now for the long wait!!!!! LOL

This was back in Oct 07

This was from Feb 1, 2008

Before I removed her from the eggs.

After I removed her from the eggs.

On the scale 784 grams

I have yet to breed my BP so excuse me if this is a dumb question but 6 months to lay the eggs? is that normal? I would be freaking if my Corns took more than a month or so.
