Update!

I called a couple places before I went and just bought anything. The shop nearest me is rather expensive. The guy I talked to said females sold for $79.99 but if I came in today he'd let it go for $69.99. Also, I need a 20 gallon (long) cage half screen, half glass. They were selling them for $80. The place I originally wanted to go to sells females for $29.99 and the cage is $75. Not much of a difference, but anything helps. You can bet i'll be in there sometime this week. Thanks for all of the advice everyone! It's really broadened my perspective.

Hey Pat....By this last post it occurs to me that you don't have your cage yet. If you are going to go with a glass enclosure, can I recommend setting it up at least a week in advance before getting a snake? Tanks can be a little tricky to get set up just right. You may find that you have trouble getting your husbandry right, particularily with humidity if you have a screen top enclosure. Get your tank first, and tweak it just right, then get your snake. As you run into any problems there are plenty of people here that will be happy to help, me included. (And I do have a "display" tank that I keep one of my BPs in, so I won't just be "parroting" info if I give you any advice! lol)
Good luck!

You can also bet that the difference between the 69.99 and the 29.99 is that the 69.99 is most likely a captive bred and the 29.99 is certainly a captive hatched import that may give you a lot of difficulty and for a newbie you may not have the experience to deal with it . As you said its not much difference ,so I’d go with the C/B. David
