I was just thinking of all the herping ive done and remeberd a story about my mom.....
It all started when my mom was driving home from work. She saw a very large hawk in a field "Swooping" at something.... Suddenly, she saw a black rat snake fighting for its life! "What must I do!" she says. Then, she runs and shooes the hawk away! She's walking back to the car, when some adult men come out of the car and say "Thats a poisonous snake!" She convinces them to leave and goes home. When I get home from school I see a minnow bucket on the front porch. My mom says "Dont open that". I say "Why?"
She told us the story and then I got to hold on luckey survior.
I should write a book

. I still remember seeing my first snake, someone brought it to school. it was a young California King Snake, I traded him a little noise making key chain guitar for it and I never looked back. At that time I only had him. Then I had to get rid of him and got my first monster, a Burmese Python. I was only maybe 14-15 and my parents would only allow one snake it the house no matter my great protest to bring more home. After moving out of my parents house my collection has now grown to 10 snakes, 1 lizard, 1 dog and 1 bird LOL
