i own a retail store that got broken into and my leopard gecko eggs were thrown about. they have been incubated at 80 degrees and are now on the 68 th day of incubation every body else has hatched already. i have candled the eggs and see banding of fully developed geckos and no movement. these eggs are a tangerine tornado male from urban gecko to a enigma female . what to do.

thanks

christian

Did you mean they were tossed about after being in the incubator? If so, I am sorry to say, but you should add them to the list of losses to you insurance company. There is only a short period of time when the eggs can be moved without harming the growing gecko. (I want to say 48 hours, but don't quote me on that, my book isn't handy and I do not breed.) Movement, especially rolling over, will destroy the egg.

If this was the case, I'm sorry for your loss, but there is nothing to be done.

i agree, there isnt much you can do.... you can put them back in the incubator... but more than likely they will all die.... sorry for your loss.... BTW it would be a miracle if any survive- but i'm praying at least 1 make it.

If you had them marked for which side was up, you can try putting them back in the incubator with that side up. They most likely will not make it, but on some level it doesn't hurt to try - either they're already gone or you got lucky. No way to know for sure without putting them back and waiting it out.
