Ivory & Super Mojave

panhead Apr 20, 2008 11:04 PM

A lot of people consider the super form of mojave, lesser, butter & white diamond to be leucistics. But they don't consider the the super form of the yellow belly (ivory) to be a leucistic.
I think maybe that should be reconsidered. Of course to each their own. Would you get supers if you crossed any of the supers listed above with an ivory? Maybe we will know later this season.

And I don't consider any of them to be Leucistic, lol. Nice BPs. I do like the different white morphs and their unique traits.

Nice picture. Thanks!

They do sure look a lot alike there. But hasn't the yellow belly Mojave been produced already and not been white tending to indicate that they are separate genes? Maybe I’m mistaken about this but I thought someone (The Snake Keeper?) had made the combo already.

Randy
You may be right. But my question was in reference to breeding the two "super" forms of the yellow belly & mojave. I don't think that has been done yet. Maybe this season by someone!

If you breed a super mojave and an ivory together you'd get all mojave het ivories. The Snake Keeper has made mojave het ivories and although beautiful, they are not white.

I wonder if a Ivory pin or spider may haold some pattern as it does when it is a pastel Ivory? Would this hold true to the super Mojave as well? Any ideas.?
