Suggestions for laying areas?

Kuitsuku Apr 21, 2008 12:05 PM

I've never once seen my cham lay any eggs and there are no signs of her digging in the plants, so I'm wondering if I should add a seperate laying area. She's about 5 months old and lately has been pacing around her cage and being really active, but not as enthusiastic about eating (though she does eat).
What would be suggested for an easy, non-expensive laying area? I have two plants in her cage already, the deeper one about 7 or 8 inches high.
Also, she seems to be fascinated by a lamp I keep next to her cage. The first thing she does when I open her cage to mist is attempt to climb onto the lamp, but it doesn't stretch any higher than her cage. Recently I've been letting her climb out onto it more in hopes that she'll calm down in her cage, but she's still climbing back and forth in the same places.
The image below was taken recently, so she still looks like that. =}

There are various ways to do this, but rather than try to describe them, I'll send you to a great cham site that has had articles on veileds, egglaying and incubation in the past. Scan through the index of past articles and I bet you'll find just what you need.
