New Balls from White Plains Show...

BrucenBruce Apr 21, 2008 12:06 PM

Hi, All!

Here (if they work!) are photos of a couple of BPs I picked up at the New York Metro Reptile Expo in White Plains. The first one is a pastel female, and my first morph:

This should get you a link if the IMG code didn't work:

Now the other girl is rather interesting - you can see what she looks like, but could you share your opinion of what she is? With her coloring, green-topped eyes and speckled tummy, she's a bit of a puzzler - but it's a puzzle I'll have fun solving! Due to a deformity of her lower jaw, here's "Funny Face":

And the link...

Another shot:

And - - well, you know by now:

Thanks for your opinions!

I like the looks of both snakes!!!!

Thanks, Mike!

I like the differences between them as well - "Funny Face" was sold with the insistence that she's a normal, but wow . . . She's just a really cool snake, with markings that almost resemble a cinny in some ways, intense yellow coloring and deep black pattern - and those emerald-topped eyes that caught my eyes like flashlights on the way home.

It'll be interesting to see what she produces!

Funny Face(I have a pet boy rat with that name) is a classic jungle. It's not a genetic mutation, but is normally caused by egg stress(which may have also caused her jaw deformity).

Thanks, Dr. Becky!

It's too bad she's not genetic - she's a really cool animal. Checking out "Classic Jungle Balls" brings me lots of sites that _don't_ say egg stress, but I'm thinking you may be on a better track, based on her jawline.

Just my luck to pick up a very cool animal who can't be reproduced!

Thanks, Andy!

She just _wouldn't_ sit still for photos, so off she went into quarantine. Remind me next show, to get there early so I don't have to look at so many empty containers with labels that say "Female Pastel - $XXX.XX"! I'm fairly pleased with her, for all of that.
