07 Bloodred pic WARNING large load

HerpZillA Apr 21, 2008 05:50 PM

OK, here's a pair of my 07 bloodreds. I was cleaning cages and had my new cam out for a ebay picture, so I thought what the heck. They are 1.1 no idea who is who, they are housed separately but in cleaning I lost track of who is who.

Now with a fairly good digital cam, I can see the colors are not as true as film. They are nice bloods, but they certainly don't pop like that in real life.

Tom,Those guys are beautiful! I know exactly what you're talking about tho.I've found that(with my camera anyway)if I take pics in lower light, just marginally not requiring a flash, works best for me. Take care!, Jeff

Thanks,, to steve_kiki too

I know, I use to shoot a lot with my A-1. I can't afford a flash right now, They run $250-$350 OUCH. I won't even look at ring flashes i really want. So the built in one for now, and it's not to bad.

Unfortunely we live in the digital age. It's good and bad. I love the idea of thwacking off 400 picture to see changes in f stop and aperture for FREE,, kind of lol.

But we also know Photoshop or PSP is there to make it perfect. If perfect is absolutely natural, or with a bit of zest.

I jumped to a Nikon, as my wife found a 50% off sale, and I swore against Nikon for some reason in the early 80's. The last month has been a lesson in Nikon history, mainly lenses and a little about older bodies.

All in all it is fun taking a few pictures again. I use to shoot 10-20 rolls at a zoo trip. Now it is virtually unlimited.

Thanks for the chat.

Hey tom, once you figure out who is who, it should be easy to tell. They have very distinctive head patterns and one is more hypo looking while the other has some more black in the boarders. Very nice pair you have!

Thanks. I never even looked that close til today. Yes your right they are quite diffrent.

They did not grow as much as I wanted, but they look good. I had a terrible few years of stuff. I think from dragging herps from the shop home. Plus buying a border line snake.

Collection is small, and no real strangers anymore.

Thanks again.

Absolutely stunning!

I have the exact opposite problem. I have a decent Cannon, but so far cannot get their colors anywhere near as bright as they are. Doesn't even show the pink in my ghost who is the pinkest ghost I have seen (Kathy Love's special project). I won't give up though, one day Iwill have some decent pics for you guys.

I think my cam has settings for color level? I have not dug that deep in all the feature, nor played that much with it.

But software is there to adjust hue saturation and exposure.

Most people taking picture certainly play with their favorite graphics program. But also check options on your cam.

Good luck
