The many looks of the Amel corn

gardenmum May 23, 2003 07:52 AM

I was going through my pictures of my snakes and had to laugh when I saw all the Amels I had and how different each was. Sure goes to show you how variant they can be. Here they are.
The first is Candy my Amel Motley het Butter from Rich, this is my favorite Amel.

but she is just a regular Reverse as far as I know. That would be cool though.

Look at the belly. Very clean. Looks like a Bloodred outcross or even normal Bloodred. Then the colors on the back are somewhat fading Some may disagree but to me it looks a lot like a Bloodred Amel outcross.

I see lots of checkering there. There are obvious half-scales of dark/light. Far from clean, IMO.

Nice coloring for an amel, though. Too bad they're not all that saturated with oranges.

Don't get me wrong these are all very nice animals , but let me add I have yet to see a corn that wasn't beautiful. Almost like it was genetic or something
