Tile Substrate

GoodSmeagol Apr 21, 2008 10:44 PM

Aii, after reading tons about substrates I chose tile, I hate sharp nails! and scratchs give me infections which itch!
So Tile I chose
2 months later, I just noticed my dragon barely has any nails, pretty much 2mm nubs, the dragon is 8 months old.
Something wrong? I expected shortened nails, but these are barely there.

I use sand and one of my small ones has worn his nails completely down also. I renamed him "Digger".

when I hold his hand and apply presure to the nubs, he does not react at all(no jerk of pain, as I was looking for)
So I assume he will be fine... I Dont want to go back to paper towel, and sand is not an option for me, as I have a severe dust alergy.

try non adhesive shelf liner from walmart or home depot. you can cut it to size and it works very well. its pretty thick and soft.
easy to clean as well.
