Well I opted for just aspen shavings. I have filled all my BP, King and Corn enclosures with it. They seem unsure thus far, more than likly because some of them are 4-5 years old and have only been on carpet there entire lives but it seems to me it will be much better for them as it will provide more hiding, burrowing opportunities and it smells better to so my wife likes it.

The old carpet, some of it several years old just smelled bad, even after being cleaned and she loves the smell of aspen. Likes pine more but understands why it can not be used
