Something new...

boaphile Apr 23, 2008 08:26 AM

This is a first for me! I have heard of it from other people but have never had this happen in one of my litters before. I haven't seen pictures of this before either. I took a mess of pictures which I will post later but for now... here is a little video!

Video of TWINS!

I learn something almost every day!

They, together, are about the same size as any one of the other "normal" babies. The normal babies are around 16" long. These are only about 10" long:

They are full term normal babies that I think will do fine. They are just starting out really small. I have had a few babies that were really tiny like this before and they have done well. I just hope they are boys...

It's amazing how small they are, like you said, about half the size of the other littermates. I had twins in my first litter back in '03. They didn't have any yolk and appeared fine but saddly after about two months both passed, they were the only ones that died out of the litter of 34. I had been hoping to grow them up to see if they would attain a 'normal' size. I hope for the best for you little ones! They sure look nice!

Those are awesome! I love twins-I have had many python twins, and had my first boa twins this year! They are awesome will take some pics!! I just found them together but no sac like the awesome photos you have!! They were just together and 1/2 the size of all the normal babies! But the good news is they ate straight away and at this point seem just fine-so I think those should do well-

Very Cool, I had twin BRB's last year, found in sack like that but did not see the joined at the umbilical thing.

Are they much smaller than their siblings? Mine were and added up to the weight of a normal baby. Both grew up just foine.

CONGRATS Jeff!

I had a set like those in January...maybe its something in the air....lol...

It will be interesting to know what sex they are, mine were unidentical like yours and shared same yolk, but were both males.

Great footage!

They are both BOYS Andy like yours! I am VERY VERY VERY happy about that outcome. Most runts are females, but this time they really aren't runts. Two perfect little half sized babies from the same egg. Very cool!

Very cool. I had twins years ago, both small and both males. I know that one of them is still alive ( about 8 years old now ) and normal adult size.
