Darkening of tail

knightbreedfx Apr 23, 2008 07:04 PM

I have this 11 week old Hypo het translucent male, he's very healthy and active but at times his tail goes very dark(almost black). I have him housed with 2 young females and they get along very well, I plan on seperating him very soon, I was just wondering if this tail darkness is something I need to worry about? I have owned many beardeds in the past and have never seen anything like this before. Any input would be appreciated.....Thanks

Is it always dark?

If not the only thing I can say is that often when their beards get dark their tails darken too.

Not always...I'm sure it's just stress related....He's rarely ever dark, just his tail sometimes... He's really healthy I just wanted to know if I needed to worry.....Thanks.
