enclosure question!!!!

Hi there!I've a question..I'm going to upgrade my caiman enclosure, so I'll need to remove my 30'' caiman c. from the old house to a temporary cage. So..this cage will not hv water anyway..Can it be dangerous for my guy?I mean for a couple f weeks..tnx in advance!!!

A couple of weeks is to long to keep him out of water. He likely would stay alive if you misted him with water every day but I wouldn't recommend trying it. If you need a temporary cage I would advise you get a kiddy pool. They are cheap and well worth the money as temporary housing.

I would recommend if possible to leave your caimen in his current enclosure and build a totally new one. This way you dont feel rushed while he is in a temp housing and you can take your time and build it right. Just remember if you do decide to temp house the caimen you still need to provide heat to the water, a basking area, water filtration. With this in mind temp housing could get expensive in itself. Just something to consider.
