Salmon poss het sharp / poss het blood

patoquack Apr 24, 2008 11:45 AM

I got her from Salmonboa.com a while ago and just now got around to getting a few pics.. she is a little feisty, but I think she looks nice.

there's no guarantee she will prove to be het for either, but then again, her color is definitely there... I like her pattern too.

as a quick note - I had 4 litters this year - three of the litters were all slugs or premies that didn't make it. the only luck I had was a litter that produced 5 healthy babies from a pair of Basically Boas’ Aby line – a 2004 Salmon Aby female bred to a 2004 normal Aby male. the babies aren't extremely aberrant, but I did get one hypo male that is about 30% striped.

Congrats to everyone for all the exciting litters being produced this year!

That is a real beautiful animal. I hope she proves for you on both fronts.

Regarding the litters, bummer on the slug outs, and congrats on the few neos you did get. When will you be showing off the 30%er?

thanks for the comments.
I'll post some pics of my Aby babies soon.

even though I had some disappointing results with most of my breeding attempts this year, I think I have the general idea of what to do now. I have to admit, I was feeling pretty hopeful having 4 females that were all doing the correct things - I observed ovulations, they were getting larger, staying coiled up on the warm side... Good thing there is next year.
