HCU June Meeting

Chris_McMartin Apr 25, 2008 05:56 AM

I'm guessing a majority of posters from this forum might turn out. I still need to pay my dues!

HCU first weekend, WTHS second weekend, then I move to Kansas the fourth weekend. It's gonna be a busy month.

in the air conditioned cabins.
The sponsors (Damon S., TexasReptiles.com, Princeton Tec, Bayco, fenix light, fenix outfitters, Arlington Camera, and Nikon and or Canon) have donated some fantastic and expensive prizes. Jason and I are going to be BBQ'n day and night. There's nice deep canyons, and tall ridges. 4 wheelers and dirt roads. Sounds like fun to me.

Joe,
Maureen and I would like one of those air conditioned cabins. We need details and are hard to reach now as we are herping in Ca.. Is it possible to handle this on arrival or does it need to be done in advance. (Tom)

I went to HCU website and got more info. The dates say June 5th - June 8th. (3 days). Is that over night June 5, 6 and 7, leaving on the 8th ? Just want to be sure before I send the check. (Tom)

That's correct, Tom (don't know how soon Joe can answer-but that's congruent with how I understand the weekend is arranged).

Hey Dude,
We are in Palm Springs. We have done some road hunting and filming but were set back by an angry sidewinder. Were going to the country music festival this weekend and then we'll hunt all next week. Hope to see you. (Tom)

I can't convert if I haven't even found an alterna yet! I'll be in Kansas for about a year, then who knows where.

Kansas? Chris you're gonna miss San Antonio. You should however be able to get some awesome storm photography in the spring up there. HCU's trip should be a great time. Like Joe said, we're gonna have some cool door prizes and anyone who attends get a free shot at winning them. We're gonna open up a couple of them to raffles too. We're hoping to have anough prizes for everyone to win something. Hopefully we'll have some new locality alterna when it's all said and done The ranch owner has already found lepidus, mollosus, ect. He's waiting for us to find alterna. With 17,000 acres to play, we should do OK. Hope to see you (and a few others) there!
