Is this a sunglow?

brianlovescheese Apr 25, 2008 09:45 AM

This was my first gecko ever. I bought her at petco for 17.504 during a sale and I was told she was an albino...I know she isn't though and as close as I can get I think she's a sunglow. Just wondering if anyone else knows for sure. Ok now here we go...The very first picture is her right after I bought her....I posted it before and was told she was a young tremper albino...I was kinda saddened by the fact that she would most likely get "dark" spots on her....well the second picture of her now with no dark or black whatsoever on her entire body. I'm just confused mainly, lol.

So I guess no one has a clue what she is? lol

I'm breeding her to my blizzard just to see what pops out then.

Sorry for being lazy! Sunglow is a relative term since the hypo thing is variable but i would say by most standards it is a sunglow and has matured better than i would have expected considering the baby shot. If you breed it to a blizzard you will get normals/hypos het for both blizzard and albino without considering the possibility that either of the parents is het for each others genes. When the siblings are bred together you should statistically produce 1 in 16 that are albino blizzards(blazing blizzards) which is normally an all white gecko but when Ron first produced the diablo blanco he used raptors which are hypos as an ingredient and it caused a yellow/orange color that had not been seen in Blizzards before. It will be a cool project - go for it!

Alright, thanks man! That was a great thing to find out, I just put them together for a shot at my first clutch. Should be interesting.
