Florida Permits

itschiaramonteyo Apr 25, 2008 09:44 PM

I would like to get a booth at a reptile expo in Florida.
I was told that I only need a class III wildlife sales permit.
On the permit it ask for a company name. Do I have to be a company like a small business with insurance and all that???
Iam just a little confused.Any information would be great!

You don't have to be a company, and you don't have to have insurance unless the expo requires it.

Laura is correct, you can just enter your personal name, you don't have to have an official business name. And no, you don't need insurance to sell at the Daytona Reptile Breeder's Expo.

As long as you won't be selling or possessing anything on FL's ROC list all you need is the $50 permit to sell. If you'll be selling and/or possessing any "Reptiles of Concern" you'll also need the $100 ROC permit.

See the National Reptile Breeder's Expo website for more info: www.reptilebreedersexpo.com/

I wouldn't hem-haw around registering with NRBE, last I heard, a few weeks ago, they were filling up fast.

Have a good one!
