I buy mulch @ LOWES, HOME DEPOT, ACE, Etc.....
I think I paid $2.35 for a 40lb bag last week. I live in Florida where cyress is growing everywhere, so it may be a bit more inexpensive here............ but give the home improvement store a shot. They should be able to help you out.
