Cloacal prolapse

childofbean Apr 26, 2008 11:48 AM

I've made a vet appointment for my young bp who has a cloacal prolapse. When dealing with lizard prolapses in the past, I've kept them on damp paper towels with sugar until I can get them into the vet. I'd assume I would do the same with my bp, but I'm afraid that the dampness may lead to blister disease. Any suggestions?

prolonged damp substrate can lead to blister disease but a couple days shouldn't be a problem...I think dirty and damp conditions (ie wet and soiled paper towel) are more likely to cause blister disease than just dampness. But again, a few days shouldn't be a problem.
