I got home this morning from work and found my 2004 Dubay Pastel female gave birth to a bunch of babies. The father is a 2006 EBV Red Group produced here at TVC.
On my way home from work my mom calls me crying her eye's out. My grandma has been in the hospital the last week. She tells me that her heart is failing and not expected to be with us much longer. So no matter how long you've been breeding reptiles seeing a bunch of babies will put a smile on your face during the toughest of times. This will be a short post as I've got lots on my mind and a ton of visting to do while I can.

Momma check'n me out

Bunch of red aberrant lookin kids in there.

SWEET

Here is a picture of mom taken back on 10/1/07

And a pic of the Red Group Male that sired the litter. Pic taken on 2/17/07.

Here are some more pics.
Of all the little Red Babies in there i'm in awe of one stands out more than the others. And it's not Red?? Very pale looking and the tail is more yellowish than anything.
These first few pictures are of the one thats different. The contrast between it and the others is unique. click picture to enlarge

Stunning difference

Thats her tail in the bottom right corner
The tail in the middle asn't too shabby either.

cute little face

Not sure whats up with all the abberancies in the litter, Temps were dead on 86 the entire time she was gravid.

I'm pretty happy with the results of the litter. There was one still born 5 slugs and 21 good healthy babies from this first time mother. And of the 21 I would say half are very nice Red Group Pastels. with probably 5 extremely red ones in there.
Oh and too top everything off my Possible Double Het for Sunglow had her waxy stool sometime during the night. crossing my fingers for some Arabesque Sunglows.
She's scoping out a spot as I type

have a good day
