Very nice . Yrs ago thought of getting one but read in the forums can be stubborn feeder and a pain thus opted not to

Hi Fleck,

alterna can be quite stubborn as hatchlings, but once they get going there's no stopping. Some will take off on live or thawed pinks off the bat, and some require more sophisticated means of obtaining a feeding response. Out of all the alternas i've gotten, which is seven since 2006, I have only one that remains a lizard feeder. But this was through a clear arrangement of swapping a pair of non-feeders for non-feeders. Just request from your selected alterna provider to ensure that your baby is voluntarily feeding on pink mice -- it may cost a little more, but is very much worth it.

I would have to say, on average, around the four-foot mark. That sounds a bit small, but there's always room for some growth given that she does not sound too old at this point. Feed!!

oh she eats..just fed her as a matter of fact..2 f/t weanlings..she'll get two more in five days..or if she's hungry sooner.. she's in a fifteen gallon right now.. thinkin of movin her up to a twenty soon..as i said she was a bit small when i got her..i got her from a pretty reputable guy so i'm sure she was well cared for prior to my obtaining her..she's an '04 so you think she still has some growin in her?

I see. I was under the impression that even good eaters could go off for no reason and tricky to get going again?

For me that was reason opted not to get one as do find them very nice looking .

Thanks
