Ian and anyone else please:
Brigid/Twilight, baby IBD-exposed boa, is soon going to be 3 mo old. Finally eating, finally pooping sometimes.
Recently, at night, when I randomly check on her after she's been in the dark for a while, I'll find her lying with her head up against the glass tank side. Tonight I came in at 2 a.m.ish and she had her upper 1/3 up against the glass, not moving. I took her out & tried to listen for an upper respiratory, but she's little...I couldn't hear anything. No nasal discharge. I did not check her mouth. She's alert, active, knows up/down and has great contraction...and was trying to catch herself when she started slipping off my arm (my fault).
I put her back, and a couple minutes later, her upper third's back up in the air, this time unsupported. She held it until I startled her down.
Does this sound like star-gazing or is she just being curious/wanting out of her tank? It doesn't look the same as my ball python when she wants out. Anyone able to give a good description of star-gazing?
I apologize if I'm being paranoid. This is a very special pookie. And she's developing some nice pink color. I'd like her to stay around a while.
Thank you again for your time,
Antigone
