Granite x Het Ivory

HOTRegius Apr 27, 2008 03:43 AM

Here's Alaranth, my granite female, ovulating. I caught her in the beginning stages this morning when I went to palpate her. She gave me a grunt and slithered off in the other direction, haha. Poor thing She has been breeding with my male BHB Het Ivory since February. I believe she had 6 HUGE follicles the last time I palpated her(week and a half ago or so).

She was the female I rescued last summer who had been kept with a male for the entire 3 years of her life. She surprised me with 5 eggs, all hatched and all were female(I lost one when the chronic RI issue came up). All are also varying degrees of granite(and ALL are EVIL bitey little witches, Hah!). She's generally much darker than this.

Thanks for looking.

You noticed that about granites too? Of all my snakes, they are always the ones that bite, snap, hiss and just seem to hate being messed with in general.
