Surprise and excitment and a question as well.

OK, so i'm strolling through petco yesterday, looking for turtle food and such, when i see they have corns for sale. now they always sell snows and amelanistics...ALWAYS. Well, i've had snows, and i like em, and i'm not a fan of amels (no offense to those who are), and wanted something new.
anyway, i'm looking through the container that holds the baby corns, and low and behold, i see black. i have seen TWO stores that have sold anerythristics EVER, and that includes the one i bought yesterday.
yes, he is a beautiful little bugger and is about to shed.

no, my question.
He seems to be burrowing into the bark and hiding. is this normal?

thanks

do you give your corns hidding places? you should. he might preffer the hidding place if offered.I keep my corns on newspaper with a hiding place ,but sometimes they just like to hide under the paper.

corns love to hide to feel secure, they might burrow into ashpen shavings or maybe repti-bark, under paper towels/newspaper, or sometimes just squeeze themselves into a corner.....they love doing that from what I have seen and heard. So don't be too worried.

Good luck.

I've had many corns, i've just used either newspaper or those plastic grass thingies. i've never seen one burrow into bark is all.
and yes, it has a hide spot

Even my guyana redtails hide under the paper. It's why i use it for all my snakes.I just bought a roll of brown paper and will be using that when i get rid of the last 2 years worth of newspapers.I dont trust spot cleaning.I have seen to many screwed up snakes to like it.
