Guyana collared lizard???

has anyone ever heard of this lizard? are they related to crotophytus. i happened to see it mentioned on another forum

They are more of a swift, in the iguanid family/ Tropidurus torquatus, they are from south america.

cool thanks, i was curious. collareds are in the iguanid family arent they, so there is a little relation? well i learn something new everyday thanks again. i couldnt find a picture of it but that scientific name helps.

oh that wasnt neccessary i found a picture of it but yeah they look pretty cool. they seem bland though compared to crotophytus, which is an appealing feature of collareds. all that color is amazing. but again you went the extra mile you didnt have to, thank you so much for always wanting to be helpful.

Hey we love talking lizardy stuff, sure not work, just a labor of love , hehhehe ! Yeah they are kind of plain, but cool. They also have a spiney type tail unlike crots.

yeah they got more pointy scales and stuff,but they have that collar so they can be welcomed into the collared club!! haha. but hey its good to know they exist!! their a bit smaller like an adult is about 8 inches.
