I haven't used it with leos but I have used it with a very small sulcata tortoise. IMO it is too hard for them to burrow in once it dries. My tortoise couldn't burrow in it at all. Also, because it is so hard, it can't be very comfortable to run around on. Furthermore, I think there is too much of a risk of impaction with leos because they may eat it while feeding on crickets. I personally don't like the stuff, but it is up to you of course.
I've not used it but it is clay. Once wet clay dries it gets hard and stays that way. It might be good in the sense that you could form a burrow in it for the leo to use, but there would be no way to monitor what's goin' on inside or if he'd even use it. I'd say Ka Ka.

I'm trying it now and it is way to hard for her. It's absorbing the heat well and after a 2 day tantrum of sleeping in the humid hide she's starting to like it. I'm a little worried about impaction tho because she will occasionally sit there and lick it. She's not eating pieces so it may just be a fun texture thing. She also has a bowl of calcium powder so I know that's not what she's trying to get.
Also for those who do want to try it, a 10lb bag barely covers the bottom of my 10 gal tank plus a small cave I dug for her before it hardened. I'd suggest a 10 and a smaller 5lb bag if you want to be creative.
