AVID CHIP PLACEMENT

I WOULD LIKE TO INJECT AN AVID CHIP INTO MY INDIGO. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE IN THE BODY IT SHOULD GO. MY VET DID MY BEADED LIZARDS AND PUT IT BETWEEN THE SHOULDERS BUT THEY ARE VERY DIFERENT ANIMALS. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CHIPS PUT IN THERE SNAKES ARE WHERE IN THE BODY? THANK YOU, SHANNON

I have heard of people injecting the chips in the belly button of neonate snakes.
