This mornings newborns...

miloradovich Apr 29, 2008 10:05 AM

Found these newborns this morning during my "quick" before work inspection that I do every morning. Needless to say I was late for work today.

Count when I found them was 15 live babies and there were also two stillborns that were conneceted at the imbilical cord and in the same sack.

This is from a first time mother and the male at pictured at the top of the forum.

I had the hot spot in the cage at 84 for this girl and she went 115 days from her POS in January. She had one other shed in the middle of last month. I have another female that had what I believe to be her POS and had shed last night for a second time during her gestation. I also have a third female who is gravid and strangely has not shed once during her gestation.

One other obsevation that I had with this litter is that they seem quite dark for babies born this recently. I am used to seeing newborns with that washed out pale coloration. I am very curious to see what they'll look like after a couple of sheds.

Anyway sorry for the poor picture, as I said I was late for work and in a hurry today and I was also having a difficult time getting them to cooperate for a photo op. I'll definately get some more shots taken.
Let me know what you think!
Milo

I am very excited this is my first baby season as a new breeder and to see my first BRB newborn pics was very exciting for me. So thanks! And more importantly, CONGRATS!
