carpet as substrate

is it ok to use carpet as regular house carpet as substrate? something like burbur carpet?

I'm really fastidious about cleaning out my gecko's tanks. I replace the paper towels every few days just because of all the stuff that gets kicked around: moss that gets tracked out of the humid hides, superworm "juice" stains, calcium powder, mealworm substrate, etc. The poop is easy enough to remove daily, but you can't really do that with carpet.
