Maybe I should get some of those. My roommate would LOVE that! I did find two aquariums in the paper for sale. A 40 gal and a 75 gal for $90! I'm gonna call and see if I can't expand my collection a bit more.
Enough about me, your girl is beautiful. When you have babies let me know!

That is the nicest female collared I think I've seen. Very nice. She looks like a monitor lizard in that pic. I think that camera has made us all happy.

of what I consider to be a most intriguing species of Crotaphytus... Speaking of which, I spent the day Saturday with a friend hiking the eastern (desert) slopes of the peninsular range of mountains east of San Diego. Was fortunate enough to spot 11 C. vestigium, a personal "best" for one day for this particular species. (Sorry, no pics...only video) Especially pleasing was the rare treat of viewing a recent hatchling at very close range...as in, on my hand! LOL. Quite wary as a rule, "Baja" collared lizards in their natural habitat seldom allow close approach... (BTW I was merely observing as usual, not collecting)

not only to acually see 11 vestigum in one day in their natural habitat, but to have a hatching sit in your hand. Can't think of a neater way to spend the day, LOL. Would love to go there some day. As I too, love this species, It has a beauty all it's own.
Thanks for the hiking story I enjoyed it! Eve
