So, What Do We Have Here?

Raveness_d Apr 29, 2008 08:06 PM

My former questions had a purpose.

What morph/local would you say this animal is?

.... BCI Boa (Boa Constrictor Imperator), probably of Colombian locale. It happens to have good colors, and some would consider it a possible Pastel, but it is not a morph. That being said --- it is a nice looking Boa.

Thanks for your input. I have never seen a "normal" BCI this dark with the reds and oranges it exhibits. The place of purchase was selling her as a salmon, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case. There was also no information available as to her locale, so thank you for the guesstimate.

As I am admittedly a BCI noob, what is the general belly colour to be found in "normal" BCI?

Colombians are quite variable, and their are plenty of dark ones light ones colorful ones and faded ones. I said it's "probably" a Colombian because of what I can tell that its not. -- It's not a Hypo/Salmon, or any morph, or a BCC Redtail. My only other thought is that it might be a Central American, but I don't think so.
Here are a few of my Colombians with different amounts of color and ligh/dark tones, but all normals.

She actually looks very similar colour-wise to the third animal you posted. All of them are just gorgeous.
Do your "normals" have an orange belly too?
