I know this pic will seem very lame after all the beautiful impressive picts on this forum lately, but I just love this pair and I'm real proud of them, so I thought I would share. I have been putting them togather for the last 2 months, I'm hoping she is gravid, she just keeps getting bigger and bigger even though I have cut her food down the past month to just 1 medium mouse per week, she was eating a large mouse every 5 days and acting like she was starving to death every single day in between feedings, but I just thought that was too much food, she was gonna pop if I didn't slow her down, any advise or other oppinions on that are certainly welcome. The male is 25 inches and weighs 73 grams, the female is 37 inches and weighs 422 grams. I've been injecting her with growth hormones and fertility drugs, and injecting the male with Viagra, just kidding.

Thanks Scott I hope you guys are right. Even though I have already given due credit to you on this forum before, I failed to metion in my previous post and in all fairness I would again like to acknowledge the fact that Scott was the creater of these double homozygous prodegy, I have mearly provided them with what I feel is optimal conditions and care. I have always handled them quite a bit so they are very tame, they have never musked and never tried to bite, although lately I have been refraining from handling lately in case she is gravid to minimize any stress. Time will tell, I have my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the comment Dan, will keep posted. I enjoy your herping photos. I found my first toad on the Iowa River road on my way home from work tonight, which means the snakes might being more active too, lows tonight are going to be near 50 finally with rain tomorrow, hopefully this weekend I will be able to check under my boards I laid out in a field last summer on my mother in laws property by the Cedar River and have some picts of wild red-sided garters and possibility of seeing a northern water snake or bullsnake to share soon, no capture, just photo shots and then release.
