I just wanted to take the time to say, "Thank you!" to everyone that responded on behalf of the reptile community, especially those of you that went the extra mile, dedicating a lot of time & money to this effort. The unity and level of professionalism that many of you displayed makes me proud to be a part, albeit a small part, of this reptile community.

There is no way I could name everyone, not even most of you highly regarded individuals and organizations, without leaving someone out, but please accept my "Thank you!" as personal as I intend it.

Thank you, and may God bless you all!

Have a great day!

Nothing is set in stone. This was the information gathering phase. They read the comments and ponder. When that is done, they decide if this stops or moves forward to the possible listing phase. That phase again goes up for public comment. They ponder a little more and then make a final decision. Generally it's taken years (3 or more) to get an animal listed. However a recent invasive fish listing took only a few months. Most of the comments didn't really supply what they requested...data to understand the potential of the invasive problem. But I suppose a hearty disapproval counts for something.
