Ball Python rescued today

dekaybrown Apr 30, 2008 03:13 PM

We just got back, The poor thing will be so much better off here.

For starters, he has a retained eye cap (already sprayed it) his water bowl had green mung growing in it, they had not cleaned or changed his cage in 4 months, etc...

I made her give up the whole shebang, tank, heaters, all of it.

I am going to go buy some wood and build a larger enclosure so he can have some more room. (The 50 long seems a little cramped for him, and I could set that up for my garters.)

Heres the 2 pictures I snapped when I let him out of the snake bag. The one where I am holding him if you look close you can see the eye cap.

Tonight he is going to have a warm soak in the tub,

Regards,
Wayne A. Harvey

Bath time reveals impacted bowel. After about 10 minutes in the tub, he left as much feces as a medium sized dog.

Since I do not have a history on this snake except that he was kept by imbeciles, I examined his poo.

There was a chunk of repti-bark in the poo, Indicating that these morons fed him in his enclosure!

The good news is, he seems a lot less stressed now its out

Taking some poo to the vet for a float, just to be safe.
