new Wardens in Brewster and Terrell

Joe Forks May 01, 2008 09:37 AM

Both Brewster and Terrell county are due for new recruits hitting the field for TPW (sometime this summer).

Please, when you are out in the field, do your best to get off on the right foot with these guys.

The most important thing (IMO) is not to do anything stupid while out observing and photographing on roads and right of ways. Safety is paramount, and it lends to our credibility and responsibility.

While we do have civil rights to use the roads for any legal purpose, if we are out there driving stupid and shining spotlights in traffic, we will get what we deserve.

I think 99% of us do it right, but if you see the 1% out in the field that is going to ruin it for all of us, then by all means call them out.

Be safe and have fun.

Joe, you have valid points. No telling what pre-conceived notions they received from HQ about "our kind" before accepting their new positions. It is our job to start positive relationships with these folks.

Best Wishes,

Steven
