My het pied BP does something similar. I had a light bulb in his cage and when he was hungry and cruising, he would climb onto the light. I didn't want him getting burnt by the bulb, so I switched to an undertank heat pad. I left the light fixture on the lid, and he will wrap around it and sit up there for hours, but when he wants to come down he cant figure out how lol. I have to slowly open the cage, reach in and "rescue" him. When he does it again, I will post pics.

This is what mine did. The only problem was that it started to peel away from the side of the tank and she got her tail stuck on the back of it and was hanging from the top of the tank. The second time it happened the entire thermometer came off and it got stuck to her lower jaw. It wasn't fun removing it.

I sent a not to Fluker Farms, but haven't gotten a response.

I am going to look for a thermometer with temperature probes to avoid this situation.
