Ouch - her little nose

rheenie Aug 30, 2003 05:13 PM

My new baby corn snake has been cruising around her tank at night a lot, and I noticed that she likes to crawl around the perimeter of the tank, but when she does that she stubbs her nose on the glass every centemeter or so. Why does she does this and should I worry about her nose? I dont want her to hurt herself
thanks for the advice

It won't hurt her. She's just seeing if she can get out. All of my stopped eventually but every now and then they will do it just making sure thay can't get out. Just watch her. Sometimes If they rub incessantly or if they try to pry open the lid or rub against a mesh top it can give nose abrasions that need medical attention or neosporin but that is rare.
