I should have named him Houdini

waspinator421 May 03, 2008 02:49 PM

As I was checking my snakes today, I noticed that Obsidian's tub was incredibly covered in condensation. That isn't unusual, but this was rediculous. When I investigated I found this:

Somehow he managed to take the lid off of his water bowl, and perfectly place it underneath. He obviously spilled most of it in the process, lol. He did move it to the other end of the tub as well, but that wouldn't be too hard to do.

I know this tub is a bit small, but he will get a much bigger one once he is out of quarantine. Oh, and it doesn't look like he could fit into that tiny water bowl.... but he can! LOL

He is just so gorgeous!! I'm so jealous! And that's coming from someone who owns his littermate! I love the color. Oh and his brother, Fuzzbutt... yes, I named him Fuzzbutt because he looks like peach fuzz, makes me laugh. He also has quite a personality. He will NOT sit still and anyone who's holding him is laughing hysterically. He never moved anything in his cage though... lol! Here's a pic for comparison (these are the best pics I can get b/c he will not sit still) they really look the same, but your guy has that gorgeous orange color, again... so jealous!!! Wanna trade (j/k). But you should be very happy with him

Yes they are. BTW... thanks Mike, I just love mine, and I can tell by the several posts... Aubrey loves hers too. They really are remarkable little guys. I know mine is half breeder stock and half pet, so I love that he is just the sweetest character I've had the pleasure of owning. He's just a riot to hold. I'll have to take video someday of him cruising... he's so quick!! Never fails to put a giant smile on my face :D

waspinator421 May 03, 2008 08:31 PM

Thank you! Oh Fuzzbutt.... I love it!! LOL, I love silly names like that. I was suprised at how bright he was when I got him. His pictures from Mike were really good, but he must have begun to really glow on his overnight trip here! Your Hypo is a nice one too. And hey, they are both siblings to that super awesome female he held back!!!!!

Hey Mike.... got any new pictures of that girl?

Thanks Frank! I'm hoping I can get him up to breeding size in time for next season. I really want to pair him up with my high orange girl Sable.

If he's similar in size to mine, and he probably is, he should be ready by next season. I'm breeding Fuzzbutt for sure (or at least I'm going to try).

natsamjosh May 04, 2008 10:00 PM

I think he needs more practice before being called Houdini. I'd be more impressed if he place the lid under the bowl WITHOUT spilling any water.

Seriously, that is an outstanding BRB, super nice color.

Thanks,
Ed
