I have a tubaware hide box for my HYCT female. It is lined with moist paper towels and she has always loved it. Recently however, SHE lined the whole floor with sand substrate. Would this be because she dislikes the paper towles? Or is it a sign that she's ready to lay eggs? Any information would help; I need to know if I should be preparing her for nesting...

could be a sign that she is digging.. meaning she may lay eggs in the next day or two..

Look at her Belly you should be able to see eggs. If they are looking well developed she could very well be ready to lay. You need a hide with either Moist peat moss or moist vermiculite. It helps to keep the eggs in good shape should not be around when she lays. Hope this helps good luck.
