Hi, I was wondering what type of brand people would recommend for the two in one heat and uvb bulbs. Its for a baby bearded dragon in a 30 gallon aquarium. Also are these bulbs as effective as the long tube UVB bulbs?

Personally, I find the long tube type UVB bulbs are better than mercury vapor bulbs or compact UVB bulbs (the compact are actually harmful).

Also, having heat and UVB in the same bulb, makes it more difficult to get the right temperature and not have the dragon too close to the Mercury vapor bulb. These are best for taller cages, or if they have to be mounted outside the cage, or sitting on a screen.

Another advantage of the long tubes, is it spreads the exposure area of UVB the entire length of the cage, instead of a cone shaped area directly underneath the Mercury bulb.
