sharing some artwork

Just thought I would share a new kingsnake painting I just finished. It was done from a photo I took while visiting a camp in tahachapi Ca. (no, not the prison, lol!) Anyway, this is probably one of the brightest cal kings I have ever found in the wild,When I saw it, i couldn't believe it. Thanks and let me know what you think of the painting if you would!

Wow!,...that's excellent!. I see you carried the snake scale pattern theme into the the background, and also into the frame itself,...very impressive!, Did you build the frame yourself too?,......as a carpenter, I can also appreciate the craftsmanship put into that as well.........nicely done!.

Very nice! The way the painting and framing is arched is really unique. Kevin

you're very talented. as good as the snake is, an experienced art critic will recognize the detail captured in the delicate floral cloth is truely a testament to your talent. regards, rusty

Wow! The detail put into that is amazing! What sort of medium did you use? Do you still have the snake or the photo that you used?

i used acrylic and spray paint on this piece. Thanks for the compliments everyone. Everything is made by me. It is all wood and originally was built for a cabinet door.

Nice art work! I love the 'snake on lace' theme. It reminds me of the Garden of Eden in a way. Really cool.
