baby Eastern King I flipped in NC ---

ECC May 04, 2008 11:24 AM

I found this little female under some trash at a field site in Johnston County, NC that I found yesterday at around 7:30 AM.

Here's the snake as I found it ---

Here's a close-up ---

The site is about 100 miles south of my mother-in-law's house. Will be the only thing good about visiting.

This snake ate a frozen thawed pink last night (sa-weet!).

Jeff, that was the first time I ever herped that spot. I will go back to try and find a male at a later date - but it is quite a ways from my home.

The spot was about 100 yards from a large creek and the altitude on the ground was 144 feet above sea level.
