Hey guys,

Just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate the emails and posts.

I am going back for surgery in the morning at 11:00. Hopefully everything goes well and i get to keep my finger. Friday when i had my first surgery, they opened up my finger because the swelling was making my skin split. They cut off all the dead tissue and opened it up like a freaking banana. I have been trying to post pics but the internet connection here in the hospital is making that impossible to upload pictures onto photobucket. One way or another i will get them on here for you guys to check out. be warned they are not for the squeemish.

It was a mojave that got me. it got me with a single fang on the tip of my index finger. I was here in a matter of minutes. It has been rather hectic since then. I have been stuck by so many damn needles and have given so much blood, i imagine i am running dry. lol The venom made my whole right side from my finger to my face swell and is finally going down today.

But in a nutshell, i just wanted to thank you guys for your support.
here she is.

thanks much love bro's!!

a mojave-it's one of the viridis complex. The tail pattern. head pattern, and blotch configuration are all wrong for a scute. Looks to me like a great basin, but could also be S. Pacific. I only point this out not to be nit-picky, but because it would be important to your treatment/recovery.

Congratulations on what looks like a great recovery! Could have been far worse.

Heres a mojave:

That is not a Crotalus scutulatus, that is a Crotalus viridis... What locality is she from?

Nasty bite... good luck with the recovery!

Happy herpin'...
